I think I have drowned my chard. Although a kindly webpage is helpfully informing me it's "very hardy", which surely is plantspeak for "even you can't kill this." I hope so, anyway, because I confess that the Droop of Dehydration and the Stoop of Saturation look the same to me.

I'm all in a rush, but just had to come and say hello!

I love Durham (Darcy's brother studied there for a few years), and your pictures made me want to go back right now! :) Also, your knitting skills are greater than mine, and I am much impressed. (How old is the little one, btw? And are there photos?)

Oh! And thanks for the vidlet - I now feel obliged to point you towards Brand New Day which is full of glee and happiness!

(You get my Rose/Nine icon on account on how Nine wears doorways. *g*)

OH Nine wearing doorways. I think that might be my favourite screenshot from the whole of Doctor Who! Anyone feeling the way Rose looks like she's feeling there definitely needs someone propping up a doorway behind them. :)

This reminds me, I must find myself some Eleven/Amy icons! I am downloading Brand New Day right now. These two just seem to be video gold - it seems like between them they've already stacked up a wealth of endlessly replayable moments.

Durham is so pretty, and based on two brief visits, it seems like a friendly place as well. I'd been admiring it from the train for years, so it was very exciting when my sister's husband got a job at the university there - although it's a long journey up to visit! (We sort of pass you on the way, so I wave hello!)

My nephew-in-law-in-law (hee! I don't think that's quite right) is around six months old, although I haven't met him yet so have no pictures.

elevenicons is what you need! :)

Yay! And yes, they're definitely video gold. *loves them to pieces*

Hee! *waves back*

Ah, that explains it. And now I have to run and get tea on the table... (Shouldn't be here at all, sh!)

ETA: Another vid that you ought to watch: Tenth Doctor: The Musical. Wonderful in every way. :)

Durham is lovely, too bad I didn't get there when I was in the UK.

And your chard should be fine, it's a very tough plant.

Thank you for the chard reassurance! Tough is exactly what is called for, so that's good news. There are a few that have definitely keeled over, but the rest are looking relatively unscathed at this point.

There are so many pretty places, and not enough time in the world to visit them all, but if you are ever here again and in that direction, Durham is definitely worth a visit.

Your DW reactions made me smile.

Yours did the same for me! See icon. :)

And thank you, and yes! I keep spotting you are here, but it's always when I'm not here. Next time I shall do my best at least to overlap! Which reminds me, I still owe you a postage refund, I think.

I can't knit worth a darn, and I usually cause sewing projects to bunch and tear, but I can cook. :-) Don't worry, babies grow out of things really fast, (says the new aunt. :-))

I am loving Eleven. He's not Ten or Eight, but he's like something out of Lewis Carroll. Which I adore. :-)

The thing I like about sewing is that I can unpick it when it goes wrong - when sewing goes wrong it is usually irredeemable. Cooking can go either way. ;)

Yes, that was my consolation. And congratulations!

Oh yes!

By the way, my Library got in a copy of "None but you" which I enjoyed very much. Thank you for the rec! I am now trying to track down "For you alone".
