Is there some rule that says you cant re-use your own essay? I mean I'm sure somebody would get annoyed if they found out you did, but would they have any recourse?
I say clean it up an re-use it unless you really feel like spending another 2 solid weeks in the library. I certainly would anyway.
To my knowledge there is no such rule, nor would it be plagiurism since its my own essay. I think you're right, im sure he'd feel slightly cheated if he found out but i believe its all within the rules of the establishment.
