Well, im a black belt in jodo now 2 years later. I really wasnt worried about the test at all. We do the shodan test requirements every single class to the point where it almost gets boring. So i was over prepared if anything. At least im a black belt in something for the time being, gonna take me another 2 years to get there in aikido.

So i tested for 3rd kyu monday after yet another longer-than-it-should-have-been wait. All in all it went pretty well, couple minor slip ups here and there but nothing worth reporting. I hate testing tho, its definatly nerve racking, mind you its kind of like playing a show in that im nervous up until its "go time" and then its buisness as usual. ( Read more... )

So out of the blue Thurs. night Kristal calls me and tells me shes coming down. Long story short, all things considering it went ok i guess. Everytime i hear from this girl something bad happens and so escaping the night alive was a bonus.
