So, it was about quarter to one in the morning and suddenly there was this crazy loud banging on our door. I don't know what is up with me lately, but I have not been sleeping well at all. For the last few weeks/month or so I have been having so much trouble falling and staying asleep. So, I just got back from presenting my very first lesson plan in an actual classroom, and guess what, I'm going to be a wonderful teacher!  May sound a bit conceited, but a girl is allowed to pat herself on the back every once in a while.  The kids were interested, they stayed focused, they were engaged the whole 50 minutes, and the teacher said ( Read more... )

Let's just say, it is a dangerous thing to let this girl watch Love Actually.  Much weeping and longing does occur.  Thankfully she can trust in God's timing for all good things to come.  That is all. 

I just spent the last two hours on the phone with various members of my family and it was amazing. I called home to talk with my mom about our plans for Thanksgiving and my brother answered so I got to talk to him for a while. So, being that I really want to up my dork factor, I've decided to learn to write in Tengwar. For those of you that aren't geeks, that basically means that I'm going to learn to write English in JRR Tolkien's Elvish script. Yeah, as if I wasn't nerd enough already...
