I want to thank everyone who sent me their wishes for my 28th birthday yesterday. I appreciated each one of them and I was happy to see that that many people had remembered it

Will do. :) As I wrote, the matter of whether I can go or not is still very much up in the air, but soon I'll start researching the possible expenses involved in attending, and if I find they aren't exorbitant for my family I'll then start making arrangements for accommodations, etc.
I'll make my best effort to be there; I agree that we definitely must meet up for at least lunch if everything turns out right! :)
My family physician was the first candidate that came to mind when I first read the list of eligible guarantors, but immediately after this idea occurred to me I remembered that my current FP has had me as a patient for only a few weeks, so he is ineligible.
After reading your comment, however, I remembered that my psychiatrist, whom I've been seeing for nine years, is an MD, so she should meet the guarantor's requirements. Thank you for reminding me to reconsider the doctor-guarantor possibility. :)

Be warned that they can be picky about the exact title that gets put on the form. If your psychiatrist has an MD, then get her to write "medical doctor". It'll save you a lot of hassle.
OMG so sorry I missed your b-day. Happy belated birthday! (I am a qualified guarantor as a Chartered Accountant but I don't know if I've known you long enough to sign yet.)
Hey, considering how belated this reply is, don't worry about missing my birthday. ;) I thank you very much for sending your wishes, and I thank you also for reminding me that as a Chartered Accountant you're an eligible guarantor. Unfortunately for me we haven't known each other long enough for you to verify my personal information and photograph, so it seems I'll be paying my psychitrist a premature visit.
Do "professional Firefighter" or Paramedic count ? ( remember i have been certified by the NFPA as a professional Firefighter over 10 years ago. and happy birthday again ! *huggs*
Thank you very much, Firestorm! *hugs* I do remember that you're certified as a firefighter and that you qualify as a paramedic as well. I'm grateful that you're offering to be my guarantor, but unfortunately neither firefighters nor paramedics are eligible to act as guarantors. :\

The usual person to ask for this sort of thing is your family doctor.
