More or less the first thing I did when I woke up this morning was to download the new John Frusciante album: The Empryean. It's very lovely. It blends nicely from loud to quiet and there's loads of strings and stuff. I sat with matt in his room for a bit listening to it and watching the clouds move around and it was very suitable. I'm now having to write in this blog a lot more often because I am taking a module in autobiography so I'm going to try and document every mundane thought that passes through my mind and every movement I make. Some weeks ago Jay and I made a pact to not shave until the 19th of January. This would result in our facial hair growing for quite a while. But stupid life threw me a curve ball in the shape of a job in a shoe shop causing me to have to shave my hairy face. I think it's fairly reasonable to say that the fantasy genre is the shittest thing in the world. Sometimes the fact that I'm alive sort of washes over me and I get absolutely terrified. It's been an odd few weeks but I've made some headway. I've felt distant recently, mostly because I've discovered that modern human experience is predominately a lie. It's so sad.
