Just in case anyone's interested, tonight is my debut as continuo player. I'll be performing in the final work on Amy Gillick's DMA bassoon recital, the Quartet in D Minor from Part II of Telemann's Tafelmusik. Fun piece. The concert starts at 8pm in Popper.

After Tszvetana Pironkova of Bulgaria eliminated Venus Williams from the tournament, she told reporters that other players congratulated her in the locker room afterwards:

"They said, 'Well job, good done.'"

I really hope that's how they actually said it!

I can't thank you guys enough for being there and rooting for me last night. It was so nice to be able to look into the audience and see so many friendly faces.
