X vs Leto...Round 2...FIGHT!

Sep 14, 2005 01:00

Ah May, such a month of change and small hamsters named Hammy. Ya see, in this oh-so-fecund month (yeah! FECUND!) a lotta stuff happened, but the most relevant of which was that I was invited to go view a band called 30 Seconds to Mars. This li'l band is fronted by actor Jared Leto (Requiem for a Dream and the upcoming Lord of War), and perform a ( Read more... )

You wanna know what SUCKS about that night now? We're not have the social with Kappa Sigma anymore - because that is freaking GOAT WEEK (yeah, its not goat night anymore - its Goat Week) and from what i hear, we're gonna be playing Gamma Phi in powderpuff football that night. I just found out all this info last night. I'm kinda slightly pissed, cause it means i still cant freakin go drool at Chris. Damn concerts in the middle of the week. *grumble*

WTF Audioslave? You dont come to town for over a year and a half, and then you come twice in less than 6 months! (Yes, i can tell you the dates, the reason I couldnt go in 2003 was because I was buying my car and had my folks with me to cosign and all - August 2nd). How long will it be until the next concert, I wonder. I bet the odds will be against me. It will be April of next year, I'm just sure of it, because I bet the week or so that I plan to go see Jonny before he leaves for his 6 month deployment overseas will be when they come. Just so luck can laugh at me. GRRRR.

besides the fact that when I think of pop I think of Britney and Backstreet Boys, and therefore Audioslave is far from pop...

...It's Chris Cornell.

Yo, X. He's caling us "kids" again. I think he really is an old fart, but he says he's not when it's to his advantage ;-)

Carly Simon once wrote a song entitled "You're so Vain, You Probably Think This Song Is About You," a song which I've modified to be: "....You Probably Think This LJ Entry Is About You."

Now if everyone reads carefully, it can be noted that I referred to a concert that could've been negative for myriad reasons but wasn't because the band was so adept. One of the reasons the concert could've gone bad: a broken tire (so to speak) on the uh..three-wheeled vehicle (ooh tricycle!)

This response come off as more bitter than normal? It's because it's 12:35 and WE DON'T HAVE ANY FREAKIN' WATER!

Now, for some responses, sit back kiddies, it's Q and A time (much different than T and A time, that'll come later...sorry couldn't help myself).

The Tricycle analogy was one of those impromptu analogies that doesn't make a whole lotta sense afterwards, but when it's written it seems perfectly logical (like Chronicles of Riddick). I THINK what I was trying to go with was the whole three people (three wheels) with one that pretty sure as 'ell needed to be somewhere else. Too-wit, it was like a tricycle with a broken wheel (maybe I should've gone with the Big Wheel analogy?).

As for the "pS-", who can say who it was about? It could be about anyone from Cowboy Troy to Paul Banks to the freakin' Cookie Monster (after all, C IS for cookie, and that's good enough for me) however, I'm betting a tad bit o' deductive reasoning should yield appropriate results. The Carly Simon quip was based on the "can't keep me outta yer LJ" comment.

Did I mention I have water now?
