I'd actually really like to; it's not quite as pretentious as Bard or Shimer, and I wish it were, but I think I could live without it. I might have a few questions to ask you about Macalester, too.

1.) I'd say it's my friend Shelby, whom I knew since freshman year but only really became close with halfway through sophomore year. We're quite different in a lot of ways, actually, and I think a lot of people wonder why we're friends at all, but she gets me on a lot of levels that most other people don't, simply because we're similar in our perception of the world. We're both environmentally aware, in love with literature, abysmal at math (though she's better than I), and completely lacking in religious tolerance, not to mention we both lust after the same boy and she's one of the only ones who understands why I like him. In my school, it's really rare for me to be able to connect with someone on this level, in regards to literature, the environment, anger at the stupidity of the world, and things that are a bit elevated from what teenagers normally talk about, but just as selfish all the same

1.) I wanted to write about someone who'll stay with you no matter what, but then I realized that just because someone leaves you, it doesn't mean the relationship was any less meaningful; and I don't expect to stay friends forever with the people I know now. So I'll say someone who knows and understands you on an intimate level; someone who makes you wonder where on earth they were your whole life.

3.) That's a hard one. If it were an all-girls band, I'd say The Nymphets, because Lolita is one of my favorite books. And if it were mixed, then probably The Droogs, because A Clockwork Orange is another one of my favorite books

Let me just commence by saying UNGH THAT ICON.

1.) Parce que tu as massacre tous mes amis cafards. I think so, yeah. Maybe you won't always stay the closest of friends, but if someone has formed a really intimate connection with you, I think that can be strong enough to last for your whole lives. At least I'd like to think so.
2.) OH IS THIS EVEN A QUESTION. YES GOD YES. I have no morals.
3.) I've wanted to learn to play the cello for a long time. I don't think it'd be extremely difficult, because I have a decent command of the violin, but that motherfucker's too big for me and it's a bit late in my life for me to start learning a new instrument, anyway. Woe.
4.) Not really. What is my life. During sophomore year, I went with Alex and this girl Emily down to the bottom of the hill and off school property and watched them get high. It was kind of hot, which is kind of sad.
5.) I don't think it's the greatest thing, but it's definitely up there.
6.) Haha, not really. But you will be the first person I tell when there is.

1.) This girl Nicole; we met in kindergarten when we thought that the best way to communicate would be to stick our tongues out at each other and the teacher thought we were becoming mortal enemies and yelled at us. We were best friends for a while after that, and still keep in touch now.

3.) It changes all the time, but right now it's from "Cemetry Gates" by The Smiths: "Keats and Yates are on your side, but you lose 'cause weird lover Wilde is on mine."
4.) Not yet! It was offered to me in my sophomore year and I really, really wanted to, but my mom was coming to pick me up in a few and I didn't want her to smell it on me.
