So, Rick came home today and said that his Adv. Tech Theatre teacher passed back the last math problem that they had to do for homework. He stopped in front of Rick and proceeded to show him that he had written something on the paper. It said something like... Rick is the only person in his 20 years of teaching that got all of the aspects of that ( Read more... )

I miss you both terribly. And Mr. Miller is quite intelligent.

I'm worried about the musical theatre part of drama, though.
I don't want it to die. We don't have midi's!
What am I going to do?!
Where can I find a good midi? What about sheet music?
Marcus and I are taking it upon ourselves to be in charge of casting the large group musical numbers.
But we need ideas!
::rips hair out::
Wow,I didn't mean for this to be such a plea for help.I wish I were better at being subtle.lol.
I don't know. Whatever ideas/suggestions you can contribute would be greatly appreciated.Do you know a site with good midi's?
That's what I'm most worried about right now.
You can email me if you want.

Love you guys!

Thank you so much for your suggestions!

We solved the midi problem today, actually. Kacey talked to the new band director today, and he said that he would make our midi's for districts.
Isn't that amazing?@! I almost cried when I found out.I was that happy.

That is why Rick did them himself. He doesn't have the time to make midi's with his schedule...
Oh, I totally understand.Which is why I wouldn't have ever dreamt(sp) of asking him. Keith suggested that I ask him, butI figured he would be incredibly busy, and besides, he needs a break from nagging drama kids once in a while.lol.
Yesterday in 7th period, Jen and I walked in the drama room and the first thing we heard was, "Once upon a time!" and we fell on the floor.
...and then acted the whole thing out.
I don't know what that had to do with anything, but I thought I'd let you guys know that we think of you everyday :D
Love you guys!

Uhm...Speaking of School, i need some information on the Whats, Whys, hows, ect of studying dance/ musical theater in school. I want to minor in it (major in Forgien Language). What do i need to look for? What sould i take? I want to study Modern, Jazz(coughfossecough), ballet, and Ethnic(like flammenco, tango, african and chinese dance) and coreography. Musical theater is...well..musical theater. so point me in the right direction.

i don't know much about it but what i do know is that if you want to learn that much dance you are most likely going to have to go to a performing arts school for it. i also now that from talking to people at Broadway Theater Project who are in college programs like that they do not tech courses on fosse and stuff. from what they say you might have one week of it or maybe two if you lucky in your dance history class (learning about fosse).

i don't know if that helps you at all that just some of what i know from talking to people:)

If you are thinking of an in-state school...FSU has a really good dance/theatre program. I think it is pretty selective to get in. I think that a minor in dance is an excellent choice for you though. Didn't I give you the dance magazine that I had with all of the schools listed?? I think your best bet is to look things up on the internet. A lot of schools include Ethnic dance as part of Modern. I will keep an eye out for info and let you know what I find.

Miss you Marcus!!
