I thought he was amazing, but then Phil was being a dork and wanted to bike home halfway through. I was sort of getting tired so I agreed to leave. Now I'm pissed that I did because I was listening to him last night and I realized I didn't even get to hear him play my favorite songs.
I'm not sure what the hell I'm doing this weekend, which sort of sucks and sort of is cool. Have you got anything in mind? I'd be down for some hanging out that involves us getting to actually talk in more than ten second soundbytes over loud music.
Yes, it would be nice to catch up without having to do that whispery-scream that's required to talk to someone whilst a band is playing. I'll give you a call tomorrow (Friday).
Do you know much about syndicalism? I'm just starting to explore it after it was briefly mentioned in my feminist philosophy and politics class. My professor is letting me do my final paper on it. Though I do think syndicalism has its downfalls, I'm fascinated with the idea that society would function basically like a union-- with consensus starting from the bottom and working its way up instead of electing politicians who don't often represent the needs and wants of their constituents. Economically syndicalism functions basically like socialism.
Uh, basically it'd never work here but damn, do I love to read about it.
Sorry about the Christmas thing-- I ended up staying in Sioux Falls until Tuesday and I also forgot to take my phone with me. I'm a flake and I apologize. I hope your housing situation is being solved?
I have a vague idea of syndicalism, but I'm a bit of a pessimist in that I think large egalitarian societies are outside human nature. Sure, it sounds great as a theory, but the amount of education necessary is only the first step. I feel like everybody has to be on the same page or you quickly end up right back where you started.
As for the housing situation, I'm hoping to solve it myself soon.

And why would you like your government to develop anarcho-syndicalist ideals?
