I read The Basic Eight this weekend for the 10th time. I still adore it. It's so HILARIOUS.

Anyone else incorporate TB8 events in day to day life?

Adam State is most definately a "villian". Did he kill someone? He killed himself by driving Flannery insane. Did he steal? As hideously trite as it sounds, he "stole Flannery's heart" and then went "STOMP STOMP STOMP". I am so glad to see that there are other people who are in love with The Basic Eight. I think it is probably my favorite book of all time. I just randomly picked it up at Goodwill a couple years ago, and I have since read it at least 10 times. It's BRILLIANT!

I think the movie will be terribly disappointing, however.

I love The Basic Eight so much it hurts. My copies of it keep falling apart and I have to buy new ones. I am too exhausted to write anything else.
