The biggest saving grace...or the MOST saving grace....with polymer clay is that you can heat it up again to make it flexible again. My bookshelf-to-be was lopsided, so I propped it up with tape and tiles.

Got the sides baked on, but they are bendy. Tomorrow, if I get to the doc and he gives me some good back pain meds, I'll have to get creative and straighten this shit out.

Well, I've hurt my back, so the going is super slow right now. but here's what I've got. I baked the back of my book case, cooled it, sanded it, and then baked the right and left sides, cooled and sanded them.
I've taken some scrap clay, mushed into working condition with my hands, ran it through the thickest setting on my pasta machine a few times, and trimmed it to measure six inches tall and 3.5 inches wide. It's gonna be the backside of my bookshelf.
