Paradoxically, the extreme outrage brought about Christmas shopping renewed my holiday spirit. It wasn't until I felt like bashing my fellow man's head in with a book that I achieved that warm feeling of good will. It's a funny old world.

I managed to procure two gallons of eggnog for cheap, so that's cool.

 I haven't felt like updating for quite some time. There's just too much woe going on with my immediate family, and I really haven't felt like talking about it; no sense in wasting the collective time of all you good people.

SHUT THE FUCK UP.

I really don't need to hear about how miserable you are, or how stupid I am, or about how I'm ruining my life and "I better run." You're take on things means nothing to me. I am not you. Furthermore, since when did you give a shit about me and my life? We barely know each other. Keep your sad-ass nose out of my business.

 Is it a bad thing that the story I'm working on involves child-eating, especially since the person who requested the story has a big-time problem with child eating? This didn't happen on purpose.  Oh Halloween parties, sure. Thanks to this job, however, I've not been happy about the actual day for half a decade. It's a bummer. Anna's party more than made up for it.

So my boss's son was working with us this summer. When the two of us were alone he said, out of the blue and purely to make conversation, "I hate black people."

Taken aback, I asked why.

He looked at me like I was the idiot. "Because they're black."

I was floored.
