Regina Spektor continues to be one of my favorite artists ever. Her newest album, "What We Saw from the Cheap Seats," came out yesterday (I wrote this on May 21st) on NPR's "First Listen," and I loved almost everything on it. The last week has been back to school. I already took another test in ASL (which I'm pretty sure went great). My anatomy teacher has jury duty at the moment, so we've had a sub for the last couple of classes. The sub's name is Peter Nilafari, and he's actually quite good. I've been thinking lately a lot about everything surrounding Mormonism these days. I don't feel uncomfortable with a good discussion about the Church, but I do feel uncomfortable when people want to explain all the reasons why they think I'm wrong to subscribe to it. So, this is going to seem like an awfully silly little post. but one of my favorite parts about reading journal entries of parents or grandparents is hearing about (now old) technology as it was first coming out, or as they were interacting with it. general conference morning

speaking of awesome things that were only $6
I got a big coffee table book about ocean animals for $6 at Borders today :) I really wanted a couple of books like that for the extra big shelves on my bookshelf, and it's a nice addition. My other one so far is a Norman Rockwell book, so we'll see how it goes as I get the thing finished and set up. There was one for only $10 on natural disasters ( Read more... )
