Sometimes, fortune smiles upon me. Like when I wake up two minutes before a colossal downpour starts. Just as I sit down, I get to watch the rain begin to fall.

Last winter, I was at work at 7:00, which was before the sun came up. Just before dawn, it started snowing. It was dark, quiet, and otherwise very serene.

I remember when I was about 3 or 4 and in the middle of winter looking out my window at night and watching the snow fall erase my cat's footsteps as they led away from the porch. That has to be one of my earliest memories.
