Sometimes I just can't stand them!

I mean honestly; I wouldn't have even gone if it wasn't a mandatory thing, and then I find out that it's for that crap? And really, I could of taken it if it was the usual load; "A Lady should dress as her station dictates" or " A Lady should not be gallivanting around the city doing grunt work in her own ( Read more... )

You shouldn't have to! Not without a good reason. Like love. And being older. Do you really have a motorcycle?

Yeah, well, being a "Noble Lady" compromises that apparently...
Yup.

Sure, they slap a very formal and scary cover to the concept...but I believe marriage and creating a family is quite a calm and relaxing future....A nice future.

I think it's good that they told you to 'look for a husband' instead of just shoving a guy toward you and telling you that you were to marry him and have children. At least you have a choice in the matter and can find someone you truly like, correct?

....they gave me a file on who was acceptable.

They had charts dipicting the 'ideal' time taken for eah process; they wanted me to be married by May and give birth by next September!

And I don't want to get married or pregnant yet.

((OOC: I swear I replied to this, I remember sending it and everything..where did it go? O_o))

If I was able to, I wouldn't want to either. Especially at your age, as I'm sure your body really isn't ready for such a thing, and neither is your mind. They should let you develop fully before you are put through that.

And men develop even slower mentally, so to make you marry any man around your age would be foolish, as they have yet to develop completely. That happens around the age of 24. So, unless they want to promote statutory rape, you'd have a very tough marriage in front of you.

Exactly.

I mean, if it was somebody I could be friends with, I'd go for it, because that's be more like a partnership; I don't know or like any of the men they were shoving me towards.
