Sunday 24th November:

Daisy was coughing in the night which made for a troubled sleep. BUT she slept till 07:00 and seemed fine in the morning. Hooray!

She built a "Doctor's surgery" while I prepared breakfast. She ate a decent amount of her new favourite Coco-Pops and Weetabix combo. I urged to have some fruit. She had a token raspberry. But then ( Read more... )

Saturday 23rd November:

My Facebook feed was full of parkrun cancellations due to Storm Bert battering the country. I was buffeted myself as I jogged groggily to Sunny Hill. Strangely the wind there wasn't too bad, perhaps the hill offering some shelter. I came 7th today with a time of 22.34. It's an indication of how far my performance has ( Read more... )

Thursday 21st November:

Colder but no snow. My eye is definitely improving - not as bloodshot and no longer stuck shut as I awake. Still knackered, though. The only tangible difference I've noticed from my Heights vitamins regime so far is that my urine is fluorescent yellow.

Wednesday 20th November:

A late start. Disappointed that the snow had not returned. However, I was pleased to have a eureka moment with work and solve the mystery of the missing query (technical note to self - they were a set of Grouped comps rather than one master query). As a result was able to power through and get the report wrapped by 14:00. ( Read more... )

Tuesday 19th November:

A surprisingly sprightly start. I gasped as I opened the curtains. It was snowing! Proper snow, dusting the shrubs and trees. I was very excited, mainly for Daisy. Monday 18th November:

Eye stuck closed with goo as I stumbled out of bed. It is very bloodshot. I look like a vampire. Without the sex appeal.

Despite this new disability I was determined to get the week off to a good start so tackled the 40 minute yoga session that I'd postponed since last week. Felt all the better for it.

Sunday 17th November:

An okay sleep but cut short by Daisy waking at 05:30. Too early. "I'm hungry!" she said. Managed to keep her in bed until 07:00 with the aid of the Galaxy Projector. Saturday 16th November:

Unsurprisingly last night's five-pint extravaganza played havoc with my sleep. I was awake at 2,4,5,6 and had at least two trips to the toilet. So it wasn't the most energetic David who jogged over to Sunny Hill for his 381st parkrun.

Friday 15th November:

Still no news on whether the conference I'm supposed to be reporting on actually exists or not (I very much suspect not) so in limbo workwise. Luckily, another short job seems to have miraculously landed in my lap starting Monday.
