The worst thing about wearing shoes is not being able to pick stuff up with my toes.

In my last post but one I made a list of books bought in Bangalore so far. I'm not sure if I mentioned that the parents had told me to be careful about buying books. This was due to my excesses in Calcutta and probably justified.

Yesterday in the evening when I'd done most of my packing I went out for a last walk and to take some pictures. The onion-peel-puppy was not there, and nor were the four thathas who walk abreast of each other and spread out across most of the road. Some weeks ago Supriya and I, during regular grocery shopping, purchased eggs. These were tied into a little plastic bag and Sups took charge of them. when we got home and started to put groceries away, we discovered that one egg had broken. She was most penitent and pronounced herself incapable of giving eggs the amount of care they required. ( Read more... )
