How was the movie? I really loved the short story, too, but it didn't seem like it would carry well as a movie.

That said, I just saw 1408 the other day. They definitely changed it up from the rendition in "Blood and Smoke", but I still liked it.

I am still deciding. It was different than the story---the mist was there and the grocery store---but they had to expand of course. The ending was very lovecraft-ian. Techno really liked it. I think a lot of people are not going to be happy with the ending. It was pretty dark. Some suspense and some horror. Overall I thought it was pretty decent, but no Shawshank. I wasn't sorry I went though.
