1. What did you do in 2006 that you'd never done before?

- Served on a Jury
- Appeared as a witness in the federal court
- Drove alone!
- Got two fillings :-(

2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?

I think so. I can't really remember them.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?

No

4. Did anyone close to you die?

Grandfather on my dad's side (and only 96!)

5. What countries did you visit?

- Australia
- Singapore
- South Korea
- Canada

- Saw unaided from ground level: USA, France

6. What would you like to have in 2007 that you lacked in 2006?

An enjoyable job

7. What dates from 2006 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?

Hmm nothing really etched itself

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?

Getting a driver's license, at age 26. Yes, it's automatic only. Bite me.

9. What was your biggest failure?

Getting an automatic license. I just couldn't get in enough opportunities to practice to get an unrestricted one. Oh well.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?

Not significantly. Had a few colds, but that's about it.

11. What was the best thing you bought?

I'm liking my MacBook Pro.

12. Whose behaviour merited celebration?

Teh lizbyrd remains awesome.

13. Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed?

Some of the things that the US democrats have started talking about after their election, but that was to be expected. They have a new low standard to sink to before it appauls me, so even they're ok.

14. Where did most of your money go?

Travel

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?

The trip back to Canada :-D I would have liked to spend longer in some places, but all in all, it worked out well.

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
I. happier or sadder?  About the same. Things went pretty low during the mid/late year with regards to work, but I'm back to a good place since I can see the road ahead is clear for now.
ii. thinner or fatter? the same.
iii. richer or poorer? richer.

18. What do you wish you'd done more of?

Spent more time in London Ontario

19. What do you wish you'd done less of?

Spending money

20. How will you be spending Christmas?

Visiting my mum in the morning, then spending the day with Liz's family.

Many from Liz's fangirl cabal, in Singapore, Calgary and Montreal. As far as people I know? _shana, violetsquirrel and kwisatshaderach

22. Did you fall in love in 2006?

I remained in love. Which is awesome.

19none

Highlander :-)

25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?

No.

Thud.. also I think one of the only non-fiction ones I read.

Everything.

Hmmm. I don't know.

Had a double/triple combined 70th with velithya

32.What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?

More money, less work.

I actually bought some jeans!

36. What political issue stirred you the most:

Political? The US elections in November had me on the edge of my seat. I'm glad to see they weren't stolen again.

37. Who did you miss?

I wish I got to see strange when I was in Toronto, and I would have liked to have seen Kristine W in Canada too. I haven't seen either of those two since 2003.

38. Who was the best new person you met?

Ha. I met lots of people this year. Many were good people. Some were wastes of oxygen, but you get that.

39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2006.

Confirm bookings before arriving somewhere :-)
