Okay, one thing that really annoys me is how people always make a big deal about renting or buying DVD's with so-called "deleted" scenes included. You know, you go to Blockbuster Video with a friend, and they don't have the DVD version of the movie that you want to watch, but you spy a lone VHS version of the movie in the stacks, and just when you ( Read more... )

i personally couldn't care less about most special features or deleted scenes, but you know it's true that DVDs are definitely the way to go. some movies look completely different on DVD than they did when they were only available on VHS - the godfather, for example, is so phenomenal on DVD because the scenes are so dark that on VHS quality copies you can't even see the whole picture. and that is my movie snobbery of the day.

Ummm. Yeah. I think the only "special feature" that I ever even bother watching is the blooper reels. I agree about the deleted stuff, it's cut for a reason!

Even most of the bloopers suck, but at least a few of them are good...there are a lot more good blooper scenes than deleted scenes anyway! :-)
