Do you know anything about Vitamix blenders in comparison? That was the one I was thinking of getting at some point so just curious if you looked into those at all.
I looked into the vitamix and went with the blendtec, b/c of the brute force high power, high rpm approach.
Since I wanted to blend a lot of dry materials, I figured the higher RPM would do a better job and micronizing whole grains into bread flour based on the specs of the micronizers we use in the lab.
The $2k micronizers we use in the lab spin@20,000 rpm, and the blendtec spins @ 29,000rpm. I believe the Vitamix was a little slower @ 20,000rpm, which is still awesome.
A lot of people love the vitamix, b/c of the little rotating pusher. I don't think you will be disappointed with either. jv
