No other way to put it. Shadow, my last ferret, was put to sleep this evening. He's now with Roland and Lady, frolicking beyond the Rainbow Bridge.

It's hard being an adult sometimes.

So sorry hon. I know the feeling. Casper will be leaving me soon. He's about 10 years old now. He has less than a few weeks from my guess, and I'm trying to nurse him along, but I'm not sure if I'm just being selfish and prolonging his agony by doing so. I'm not ready, but you never really are, are you? I'll tell him he has friends waiting when it's his time...
