So... why have I never listened to podfic before now? I'm scrambling to finish up a project by morning, and needed something to listen to. I dug around online to try a hand at listening to some SGA podfic. Best thing ever! Just listened to Kaneko's Intersections. Awesome awesome fic. Yay for SGA podfic - I love to listen to fic as well, when fiddling with the details of artworks - it's a great combo.

The audiofic archive is still the most extensive place to find podfic I think, but the main comms for new fic are amplificathon on lj and dw (they're multi-fandom though, and it's v. rare for people to just post there and not to sgapodfic).

No time now but I'll do you a few fave recs soon!

No! I hadn't known about that site. That is PERFECT - thanks! I still have a couple more days worth of work with different illustration projects, so this will be awesome.

And yeah - sometime when you have a minute, I'd love to have some recs. :D About to listen to Healing Station Arghhh... lol.

There's so much! Any genre of story you most like?
And how much does the voice matter to you (e.g. can you handle non-USA accents?)

hmmm... longer plotty fics are good to listen to while working. my favorite is sheppard, so as long as he's featured, i'm pretty happy with most genres. although for some reason I cannot handle Sheppard/Weir. Go figure. :) I like the Sheppard H/C genre, listened to Friendshipper's Devil and the Deep Blue Sea before realizing only the first half is recorded so far. D'oh!

so far the voice hasn't mattered. i've listened to a couple already that were non-US accents, and quite enjoyed them.

I love the podfic of Watergate (Retrograde & Recovery) & Raiders of the Seven Systems from LTLJ (www.ltljverse.com), it's Gen SGA/SG1 (and Raiders has Zoe from Firefly too)
