backlogs are fun!
Just got back last night from a fun trip to California. Spent time with the fam, but mostly it was all about going to the big reception for an encaustic painting show which accepted two of my paintings. Was a blast. I have to work on my schmoozing skills. i get to be a fancy pants artist!
Found out a little bit ago, the two pieces I submitted were accepted into a juried exhibit of encaustic paintings! Woohoo! Since it's my first real deal gallery show I figure I need to go to California to attend the opening reception. Just got my plane tickets!

I feel like I've been out of town, or on vacation or something with regards to my flist. (Oh that it were so in RL!) Haven't been by hardly at all, busy busy. I've had some freelance and been pretty busy at home. Started going to the gym and that kills most of the momentum for the evening since I just want to collapse on the couch afterwards.
