It's kinda why when I have kids I want to give them obscure common names. Something like Darren or Stewart. They're common, but you don't see them much.

i feel the exact same way!! though my name is kinda common in certain areas of the country (and in Spain because apparently its spanish? but spelt differently), i really like my name. its unique and like you said, its cool to be the only one in a crowd with a name like Adrienne.

but then those times when i DO meet another adrienne, i'm like, "OHMYGOSH SHE HAS THE SAME NAME AS ME!" and get wicked excited.

but yeah.
