Well, I guess I should get around to posting this. Last weekend I went to the West coast Noyce scholars conference. The Noyce scholarship is what is currently paying for me to get my math teaching certification, and also what is requiring me to do so. When we left Pullman Friday it was 15 degrees or so. Well, I'm done with student teaching. I now have a piece of paper that says I am a certified teacher. I am also going back to school part time to finish the requirement for a scholarship that says I have to be able to teach math. I'm hoping to be able to sub while I am still in school. Well, three weeks to go in my student teaching and I'm coming to the end of my biology knowledge. I only have two more weeks to actually teach. The chemistry should be no problem. We have DSL now, and it has been working pretty well. [Side rant] I hate how Pullman is a one phone company down. You have to go through verizon for everything unless you either pay for cable internet or go entirely wireless and deal with clearwire. I have to say that the weird al concert was great. He did among other things: amish paradise, white and nerdy (he even rode a segway on stage), both star wars songs (the saga begins and yoda), fat, smells like nirvana, and my personal favorite, the entire how many minutes of albuquerque.
