i think if i had a moment of the most intense love and pleasure it would only make me feel foolish for all my previous encounters with either feeling. and i'd want it again again again.

that all is really, really sad.
but at least it's real.
at least you're real.

I know this exact feeling and I have been spending all of my days trying to write, draw and photograph something that encapsulates it-all to find out how impossible it is. Also, I've been spending a decent amount of time driving myself insane and being completely neurotic.

I think I'd rather have immortality. All that emotional junk is overrated.

Well Faust gets really really bored because he learns everything and knows everything so he dosen't know what to do with himself all he wants is to feel something human, primal. His immortality is a huge weight and he dosen't know what he will possibly do to keep himself entertained.

Actually I have not even read the book but I read the spark notes and that's my interpretation!

hahahahaha

P.S. You are immortal already.

If Faust was immortal, how could he not have experienced something of that caliber? Furthermore, what intense situation would even cause someone so bored with human emotion to feel?
I'm going to have to read this sometime.

I know, I know. This is finally getting old.
