I'm not getting a lot of studying done. I'm surfing the internet for Timo's last Christmas/birthday gift because I know that I can save a lot of money. Normally I like to shop locally, but the internet feeds my procrastination addiction. If I memorize 3-4 chapters a day, I can do this. Maybe

possibly stupid question...why do you need Canon software? are you using it for something other than importing photos? if not, it might be easier to just use a card reader.

Not a stupid question. I haven't gotten around to getting a card reader. I know it would make my importing so much faster since I have cards with great write speed... but it's just one of those things I keep putting off and we're really strapped for cash right now.

The good news is that my husband found the discs this morning, so I will try again later today.

Depending on what kind of camera you're shooting with, if you're shooting in camera RAW, you have to have the latest version of Camera RAW to process/view your raw photos. If you have the 5D Mk II, it won't work with CS3-- you need CS4 (or convert the RAW files to DNG). If you're shooting JPEG, don't know what to tell you... other than to start shooting in RAW! :-)

Since my meltdown, I've got CS4 loaded and I don't need the laptop for editing anymore. I think the RAW files were just too big for that poor little hard drive.
