Sticky situation
I'm about to book a wedding (yayayyay!!!!) for a couple that's super laid back an outdoorsy and the woman belongs to my gym and pretty much all women there are high quality folks. So much excitement.

Bad day
I'm not getting a lot of studying done. I'm surfing the internet for Timo's last Christmas/birthday gift because I know that I can save a lot of money. Normally I like to shop locally, but the internet feeds my procrastination addiction. If I memorize 3-4 chapters a day, I can do this. Maybe ( Read more... ) -

We have 3 fish sitting on our balcony. Ok, fish don't really have the capacity to sit. So there are 3 fish in a bucket, and the bucket is sitting on our balcony. Tim is going to come home soon and then "clean" them, so he can cook them for dinner. Fresh fish. It is all a little distasteful to me. I think we should keep them as pets, or set ( Read more... ) -

I feel sick like a dog. Snot everywhere, pressure in my ears, uncontrollable coughing. I'm on my 4th cup of tea and I want Timo to come home and take care of me. And I want Chaucer to go away.
Thank goodness for coteachers. I dumped teaching on them because there is no way I'm leaving the house... my head might fall off and get dirty. -

I am very pleased to say that this morning, with the perfect defense of her wonderfully important dissertation, my good friend Sheila is now Dr. Sheila Morton!
I have hopes that in 4 years, that I'll get there too ;) -
Minor victories
Last night, I achieved a personal best record in Scrabble with a score of 309. This was after a 1 point penalty after a dratted letter 'U' could not be got rid of. But that did not stop me from winning =)
And another thing. As I read Real Simple with my cereal this morning, I realized that they had quoted Buffy the Vampire Slayer yet again. ( Read more... ) -
