how can you turn your nose up at a kitten?

You've got to buy it food and pay for it to get spade or neutered (or it will become the town whore/tramp). It will probably get hair everywhere, and mess up lots of stuff with its claws. Kittens (and virtually all animals!) are no good :)

You might as well have a kid! ;)
