after a three or four year stalemate i am pleased to report that i, laura thomas, am no longer 5'5".  i am 5'6 1/2".  i grew a whole INCH AND A HALF baby.  oh yeah.  i am the tallest woman in my immediate family.  not too shabby.

sadly, that's something i'm really proud of.

Today was just lovely...well after I got off of work. The work day just dragged on for eternity! I couldn't believe how long it took.
