wedding woes
Wedding are really dumb, you guys. As a fancy party to celebrate a major milestone in someone's life, they are great. It's even kind of fun to imagine the cool things you would do if you had one. This semester I'm an intern at the Pasco County Environmental Lands Divison. It's a small office that uses the extra 1% sales tax funds to buy land and restore it to its natural state to make it into a nature preserve that is open to the public. Roadside Picnic by Arkady Strugatsky is being re-released in May. Ten bucks. But it's only available in paperback. But it's available! I don't know why I'm so fascinated by this book. I finally found a copy at the library two years ago; it's a great story, but not an amazing one. It's just the thrill of the chase, I guess. I want it just so I can ( Read more... ) -

halloween things
Halloween anime club meeting last night. Was originally going to go as a ghost from the 18th century, but decided on being Pride and Prejudice and Zombies instead, Chris2's idea. I'm too stubborn to buy the environmental ethics textbook this late in the semester, and there's going to be a new edition next semester anyway so it's not like I'd be able to get any money for it when I'm done.
