Finally got a call from a person affiliated with Nielsen (I had applied for a job there). Her brother was the manager doing the hiring for this position and never even got my resume and they've already hired. I didn't even get a blasted interview.

indydark is right: granville Island is NOT an island at all, and it reminded me of St. Lawrence Market too - combined with Harbourfront. Some rather overpriced touristy shops selling native art and other work by local artists. Today Mezz and I finally made it to Merridale Cidery. They grow cider apples and make several different kinds of cider. We had tried to get there a number of times, but either got there too late or left the house too early. Today we took the ferry (20 min ride) from Crofton to Vesuvius Bay on Salt Spring Island. I think they're asking for it naming it that, but that's just my opinion. We went hiking today in Goldstream Provincial Park. As you drive into the park there are giant red cedars, over 450 years old. We were given directions to a waterfall, called, yup, Niagara Falls.
