Went to Glasgow. Gave a paper at the Screen conference. Queer theorists still don't like me and I still don't like them. 5.5 hour trainride from London to Glasgow was better than flying but was still hell. When Glasgow is good, it's very good; when it's bad, it's terrifying ( Read more... )

Okay, to ze point! A Griffith comrade of mine, Chris Rose, was presenting at Screen too. Of course, every man and his love object present at Screen, but I just thought it would be tediously nice to note.

Seriously, it was the lamest conference I've ever attended. I won't be back unless the theme relates explicitly to what I do, and even then I won't be rushing. Hopefully Chris Rose had a better opinion of it, because if I'd flown all the way from Oz to that conference, I would've been PISSED OFF.
