Okay, so the entire purpose of 13 Going on 30 is to just make everyone watching it continuously exclaim, "Jennifer Garner is delightful!" - right? Because that's all we're doing.

you know what I want to know? why does being wimsical and child-like always seem to involve being stupid? Because essentially that whole film is Jennifer Garner being mildly retarded and everyone around her exlaiming (in delight): "wow! now THAT is how a woman should be!"

argh.

Thank God I got a copy of "Showdown in Little Tokyo" for my birthday and could watch that to wash away the memories of Jennifer Garner's child-like innocence.

The ending? OMG, the ending! Could it have been any more ideologically bankrupt? I take it we're to assume that, after she changed her life around, she never became the bitchy, successful magazine editor and just lived with dude in a nice house in the suburbs? LOL, wow.

I got crankier with the film as it went on and (as you say), people started to actually like/respect her dementia. Things were better at the beginning, when she was a retard and everyone thought she was either crazy or constantly drunk.
