Hey I got your comment and would have LOVED to come to your party, but it was my birthday weekend and so I had a guest from out of town. This week and next weekend will be all about continuing to celebrate my bday though, so yay!!

Your party sounds awesome!
I think that really, it's probably the time of year more than anything. Everyone has a million parties, company parties, store things, shopping, etc etc to go to, and sometimes it means not getting to go to your friends stuff. So I would try not to take it too personally.
At least it sounds like you all had fun!

I would have come to your party! Mmmm... food...
My parties either seem like huge failures or crazy drunken blowouts where people throw their beer bottles everywhere and make out with strangers in my bathroom.
And no matter which way it goes, there is always too much food. Always.

oh my goodness...i want the recipe for everything! it sounds delicious!

i know how you feel about the parties...my best friend and i used to throw a couple parties every year, and it always disappointed us to see how many of our friends were huge flakes. they were nice in every other respect, just totally unreliable. the most people we ever had was 32 (we made a list of who was there), and must have had at least 20 people who "swore" they'd show up and didn't.
