Wellington boots, or wellies are amazing. Some call them galoshes. They are high rubber boots that one puts on and is then able to walk into water without getting wet. Think about this. Someone invented shoes that when worn, allow the wearer to walk into water over a foot deep and not get wet. Huntin' crawdads.

I woke up freezing. Last night i slept with sweatpants under my jeans, three pairs of socks, gloves, and my hoodie. Still my feet were so bad i had to walk for like an hour before i could feel them. Now that i've had my coffee i'm a little bit more content... the sun is up and it's looking like it might be a beautiful day. I have to take a crap.

Another day with Joe. It's been almost a week. All my time with this kid. I don't even like him. I can't tell if he's really crazy or just making everything up to fuck with me. Today was a bit strange. I was in the studio recording a translation of a catechism when i heard that "little Joe" has escaped. Not left, but escaped. Instead of telling anyone he had had enough and just asking to leave he ran off through the woods after saying he was going to the bathroom. This is a kid who went on a hunger strike last month. You know what's awkward? Eating with fat people. You have to try your best not to stare at how they are eating. They have to control the speed at which they eat so as not to look like they are eating like a fat person. But they are a fat person. I've done a lot of things in my short life. I've been to places, physically and spiritually, that most people will never experience ever in their entire lives. I've literally tried every drug known to man, i still don't know if that's a bad thing or not. I mean some of them, like oxy, fentanyl and heroin have destroyed my life. It's been almost exactly a year and nine months since my last post. A lot has happened. I descended very deeply into general opiate and eventually heroin and fentanyl abuse. I tried to get clean a few times, each time getting close to 90 days but never there before relapsing. I am now clean 38 days. And it's the best 38 days of clean time I've ever ( Read more... )
