Experiment to determine the number of miles my car may go on one entire tank of gas, without refilling, is completed.

Result: 350.7 miles.

On a sewing rampage. I've been collecting material for over year, and finally, now, I'm putting it all together. Made 3 new items in the past week and a half.

Got an awesome pair of weird orange socks in the mail from Joe Hoffman. Good stuff.

After buying the material and cutting out most of the pieces over a year ago, I've finally finished a new pair of Federal issue trousers. For the first time in four years, I've got a clean pair of pants that has all of its buttons, and is free of holes, mud stains, and such, though that's sure not going to last long ( Read more... )

I've been working on a pair of completely handsewn Schuylkill Arsenal trousers all day, and my eyes fell like they're going to roll backwards and explode.

The recent run of Dion Boucicault's Shaughran which ran the Abbey Theatre when I was in Dublin is coming to the States next year! Heck yeah! It was the best play ever... seriously. Filled with great trad. music, step-dancing, and encouragment to boo, hiss, and cheer the players, I, for one, can't wait.

I went to Barnes and Noble today after the History Society meeting at school with the secretary of the club, Jason Bluman. On our way out, we stopped at the magazine section, and I shouted quite loudly in astonishment when I came across the new issue of America's Civil War.

On Tuesday, while stopped at a red light at the intersection of Phalanx and Laird Rds. in Colts Neck, NJ, I saw one of the most blatant acts of redneckism I have ever seen.
