I hate killing those insects that lurk about in your house. Really I do. I try to let them go as often as I can. Once I kinda just let this spider live in my room because I didn't want to kill him. It's not like I didn't try setting him free, but he was quite a fast one so he scurried away before I could get hold of him. And I just kinda got used ( Read more... )

everyone in the entire galaxy if not universe finds an insect at one point in their lives and decides to call it fred in a fleeting grasp at cuteness. i can think of several examples, namely because of the influence of our dear friend the cicada, in which several middle school girls would be spotted putting one in her hand and then exclaiming, "oohh here's fred. he's sexy. but we have to let him go mate. *sad face* Byyyyyye freddd. OMG lets go talk about boys." i honestly would expect more creativity with a person like you, rather than just fred. think on that. maybe the spider's name should have been something really obnoxiously french, like Claude Rene, even if it was just a made up name (i always imagine spiders talking with french accents, probably because of my former obsession with james and the giant peach). anyway, i know how you feel about the whole killing household insect thing. i can never do it .. my brother started crying cause i was trying to kill this spider that almost bit me and i was like, "DIE!!" haha elle. sometimes ya gotta put them mosquitoes in their place. and I'm sorry for disapointing you with the fred thing. maybe if you had a look at him youd be in agreement with me. and fred is a great name. hello, fred ASTAIRE. its very worthy. and obviously if i put my spider friend on the same level as fred astaire there was some thought behind it...

...although...claude rene is quite a lovely name. maybe ill even considerate it for the next spider i take residence with.
