ok if you are taking the stinking stance of the bad experiences provide you with perspective to appreciate the good ones, you better build on that cuz it is weak at best i should know it is one of the pillars of the doctrine of jarad which i live my life by...and it always seems to be the one to slap me in the face

no no, none of that. i was taking the stance of all potentially "bad situations" become, by fault, yr best experiences because it is in these times that you grow and learn. learn to avoid these things in the future, learn to be independent, whatever.

i'm no optimist but a huge believer in karma and i don't think that bad things happening make you appreciate the good, although i do believe that being sick often makes you appreciate yr health.
