So, whose idea was it, anyway, for me to learn to play guitar just so I could be ina play? Whoever that person is should be rounded up and shot on sight.

My big problem is singing while playing while walking while not looking at the strings because I need to interact with the audience. I can remember the chords, but some of the transitions are proving much more difficult that I expected. And when I play at tempo while in character, my fingers don't want to reliably find the right locations. The director is happy that I've reached the point I'm at, given that I'd never touched a guitar until Christmas; but I want it to sound genuinely good, and right now it doesn't.
