Have you ever had a contact lens tear while **IN** your eye? And then had to figure out how to get it out while it was trying to stab your brain through your eyeball? I've had my quota of new and interesting types of pain for one day.

And that is EXACTLY why I don't wear contacts!!! I will keep my glasses thankyouverymuch!

There are definitely moments they are a pain in the arse. But they're nice at the gym and for swimming and snorkling and such. Also when it's 90 degrees out like it was all day!

I had that happened once. The center tore out in an almost complete circle like someone drove by and tried to do lasik on my contact while I was wearing it.

I quickly took it out and drove home from work with one good eye to get another contact put in.

You're lucky you could get it out. That sounds awful!

nope....i can take my glasses off and I have very little fear they will poke out a cornea unless i get into a fight. And no one hits a girl with glasses!

And if they did I know some people who will smack them down!
