I’m off to do a Vedic Astrology course tomorrow. This is not something I’m massively fascinated by, I’m more of an I-Ching and the Tarot woman myself, (and angel cards, of course,) but when a friend mentioned it, the writerly part of me went, hmmm, might be useful for a story sometime. I have no problems filing stuff on computer, cos if I make a second copy I just email myself what I've written. Then I don't get confused. I also love creating folders, I have a story folder with other folders in it for each story. Now writing on paper, that's scary, but also what I'm aiming to do in my new plan. I imagine I'll have bits and pieces everywhere, or several confusing notebooks with lots of stops starts and random scenes. Either that or I'll get so controlling about it that every time I change tack I'll start a new book. Then I'll have a kabillion partly filled books. Oh dear.
I don't know my time of birth either. And I didn't have a baby book either. I'm an only child, but I think that it just wasn't such a big thing back in the day. Not like today where everybody records everything.

I've done that. I don't know if it's a good or a bad thing though that I didn't know that was what I was doing at the time. Ignorance can be bliss sometimes and downright frustrating at others.
Filing is just a problem writers have to deal with I think. Part of it is changing something and then wanting to change back and then wondering where the previous version is. Arrrrgggghhh. Cursed choices. I think in the days when people wrote on typewriters all this luxury of changing things just wasn't so much of an option.
I can't really email things because I've taken the email of my writing computer. Just as well, as I'd only have a load of email files to file, I guess. :)
