Some smut and leaving

I'm getting sent away for the weekend to go placate a client, among other things. In the meanwhile, have a Remus ficlet. This is what happens when I listen-- or when I let my inner Remus listen-- to NIN's "Closer" on repeat.

While there are no names here, it's definitely Remus and I definitely wrote it with Hestia Jones in mind, a la jennymalfoy's ( Read more... )

Wow. That was amazing.

That first sentence was spectacular...His head, his eyes, his brain-- His identity, his drive, his need. Wow.

Yeah. So I just finished "Consumed", which I read over a period of ten days because I was outtatown and didn't have regular access to a computer, which was INCREDIBLY frustrating because I SO wanted to keep reading. And now I think you're THE MOST BRILLIANT fanfic writer. I swear, there were whole 2-5 minute periods in this fic (and in "Sick") when I just didn't breathe. Madness. You are fantastic and I am so adding you.
In terms of proper critique (which most writers like so I'm taking a chance on you), your characterisations are just...wow. Vivid, canon, relateable, and, above all, so REAL. Your writing is just full of these amazing, snappy one-liners (have I said this before?) that have me alternately rolling around laughing, gaping at the screen in awe, and heaving these HUGE sighs. SO much love.
I haven't read this Remus ficlet yet, but will comment once I'm done. Thank you for bringing joy, frustration, unholy obsession, and unhealthy addiction into my world. I am forever indebted. :D

Wow. Thank you. I actually saw this comment a few days ago and sort of... blinked in surprise, then grinned really big and thought I'd wait a bit before answering so I didn't come off quite as daffy as I felt.

Though I always feel writing is sort of a cathartic exercise for me (and that having people enjoy it is just like... my selfish added benefit), it never stops meaning so, so much when I hear from a reader.

Your words are flattering-- I sort of chuckled at some of them, thinking you had to be talking about someone else-- and warming.

I'm glad you've been reading, and moreover, I'm glad you've enjoyed it. Thank you so, so much for letting me know, and just... thank you for the critique, the compliments, and the comments.
