well, you will hopefully see the apartment at our housewarming, though it's likely to be soon, so you're probably booked already. ; D it is really lovely, though, and we really couldn't be more thrilled.

she couldn't have done better with the tree (or the wrist, which i'd been told couldn't be done as small as i wanted in the font that i wanted and still turn out correctly. well, sir, if you knew how to do your job...). i really just walked in and told her what i wanted and had linked her to the poem and a picture of a joshua tree in our initial email about consulting, and. it was perfect. it was exactly right. and it really is truly gorgeous. from what i can see in the mirror/in pictures/over my shoulder. hee! fi's ink also came out perfection, so it was all around an amazing experience.

Your tattoos are just beautiful! The coloring on the tree is amazing.

thank you! i think so too. and the coloring -- i went in and she had the line drawing done and asked me about the coloring, and i debated about what i wanted to do with the heart leaves for a portion of the day and settled on the dark and light greens, but once she was done with the outline, i asked if we could stop so i could catch a smoke break, and i alllllllmost stopped it there, it was so gorgeous in line form. but i am so, so, so happy i went on with the coloring, it's just. it's so perfect.

Oh my stars, the tree. (Although at first I thought she was filling in the heart-shapes with red, and then I saw the finished picture and went back and realized that was not red ink, and then I said "Oh. *gulp*" But that it because I am a wuss. And that in no way detracts from how gorgeous it is.)

Also, your apartment! I am still very !!! about it. Lucky, lovely! And full of stoooooorage!!

i've been envisioning that tree for so long, my visual interpretation of that poem, and she drew it and it was just -right-, just exactly right.

HAHAHHAHAHAHAH on the red hearts. though that might have been pretty with the darker greens! it didn't bleed much, sort of, the artist wiped with every line, and not for long, of course.

you should revisit the bay area and see our lovely and full of storage apartment! i feel this is a good plan.

I feel that is an excellent plan, and suspect a revisit of the area will occur in the near future!
