Thank you for doing this! PP in my area provides valuable women's health care on a sliding scale for those that don't have insurance. They were there for me when I didn't have insurance. What a great feeling to be able to give back!

Definitely seconding this. I don't have any kind of insurance, and I'm going to be making an appointment with them over the summer to get some needed checkups done - otherwise, I'd be so screwed.

You rock, LJ. I was worried about a few things you were doing for a while there, but this is a definite awesome thing you've got going on here. Kudos!

Gee, LJ, could you pick a less divisive issue to support - like bringing back slavery?

Health resources for women =/=! slavery.

You really don't know what 'strawman' means. Seriously, look it up.

So, y'all know that only about 3% of Planned Parenthood's patient care goes to providing abortion services? (Which, last time I checked, is a legal medical procedure in the United States that 1 in 3 women get during their lifetime.) The large majority of it is spend on STI testing and treatment, cancer screenings, and contraception.

PP has done so much good for so many, I'm so glad that LJ is showing its support.

So, 3% of its "services" in murdering unborn babies is acceptable with you?

That makes the assumption that all people believe abortion is 'murdering unborn babies'. To some people, yes that 3% is more than acceptable.

No, it doesn't. It's not about assumptions and beliefs. Is it the taking of an innocent human life, or is it not? Assumptions and beliefs have nothing to do with anything.

I would like to ask when LJ will provide the same sort of fundraising effort for a pro-life cause? Please respond.

Never. Because this isn't even about pro-life/pro-choice. This is about women's reproductive health.

Also, no one forces you to have an abortion. Just like the saying goes, "Don't like abortions? Don't have one." Simple as that. Worry about yourself. Move along.
