The glorious 6 hour 1987 mini-series based on a book by Judith Krantz about the feisty rich girl Maxi Amberville and her dysfuntional family. I read the book as a teen and saw the mini and impulsively bought the DVD a couple of years ago. So immediately after the magazine came out all my defenses broke down. My immunity system waved a little white flag and fled for the border. This past week, which should've been spent catching up on work at the office as well as distribution matters for the magazine, was mostly spent in bed. Eurovision
Good old Eurovision.
I completely forgot to make a post about it this year. I didn't listen to the songs until last week. Clearly the enthusiasm isn't there right now.
But Iceland made it through the semi-final (and Belgium! How about that!) Performing last with a dance song so solid it could shatter a diamond there was no way we wouldn't ( Read more... )
