M-my chicken has been changed into a cat . . . person.  Thing.  Is this because . . . because I fed it too much?  Perhaps it evolved out of happiness . . . The caviar may have been excessive . . .  As I don't suppose it would still be willing to be my Christmas feast, I must inquire what else is traditionally served on this holiday.

I brought it back to my room after finding it wandering the hallway. But when I awakened the next morning . . . there was a snoring cat-thing in its place.

Oh! Perhaps the cat-person ate my chicken . . .

That's true, this island is unpredictable. Did you actually see the chicken shifting? Maybe something else happened.

I had thought, perhaps, that the feline had devoured my chicken, but I found no remains.
